vintage project Evaluation

The era/period I chose to research was 1930/1940's because I looked an interesting era to choose as I could look at WW2 as well as fashion etc. I choose this era because I wanted to base my vintage project on mostly on WW2 and fashion and different object that were invented.

The research I have undertaken was looking on the internet on different pages, going to the library and looking through books aswell as asking some family members if they knew anything about the era I chose. Towards the end of my sketch book I started to look at the objects that were invented in the 1930's/1940's. The main cultural influences within my era was WW2.

The artists I decided to choose were Robert Delaunay, Edward Bawden and Charles Mozley. The main art movement within my era were abstract expressionism, surrealism and late cubism. The art movement in the era I chose tells me that people liked very abstract pieces of work.

The different media I used throughout this project was, brusho inks for backgrounds, acrylic paints for block colour aswell as backgrounds. The other media I also used were, coloured pencil, water colours and permanent markers. I also used duct tape for a background. Furthermore I used cardboard, wool, string, wood and tissue paper. Throughout this project I have merged my annotation in with my work and made it look presentable.

Throughout this project I have managed my time quite well but towards the end of the project I did fall behind as I was catching up on some other work. So I have learnt that I should prioritise and write a time management plan to succeed to a high level.

Finally, i am satisfied with my sketchbook overall but i feel as if I could've done better. So if i did this project again i would defiantly write a time plan and research more before starting each page i know what i am aiming for.
