Lino Print for printmaking

The materials I used for lino would be a lino cutter bench press, paper and the water based ink.

The technique I used was firstly drawing a design out of a piece of paper then copying it back to front on the lino by firstly getting the bench press and pressing it firmly against the table.
Secondly after you have drawn up the image onto your lino then start cut it out using the lino cutter but do not cut all the way through the lino.(Always cut away from you)
Thirdly you then get a roller and squeeze ink onto the glass work top and roll it out. then use the excess ink on the roller and roll over the lino evenly.
Lastly get a piece of paper and go to the press. Lay the A4 paper down and put the lino ink face down on the A4 paper. the put the clothe etc down over the paper and roll the press over it. Once its got to the other side lift up the clothe, peel the lino off and you have your print. Then clean your Lino in the stink and the roller and the glass worktop.
